Auroral Magnetic Field Monitor

Data from a meridional chain of magnetometer stations located at different latitudes are illustrated to investigate possible propagation effects of magnetic field perturbations induced by solar wind perturbations on the magnetic field at the surface of the earth. The fraction of the magnetic field and its maximal value are shown versus the universal time of the day in hours. Active stations delivering nearly real time data are marked with green and otherwise with red dots.

Provision of Auroral Magnetic Field Monitor

Magnetometer data are provided with friendly assistance of the Tromsø Geophysical Observatory Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Tromsø, Norway.
